FOUNDER STORY
Three Generations. One Family. One Legacy.
The journey begins with Late Ram Nath Kapoor, who at the age of 15 leaves Jhang Chiniot, Pakistan, during Partition and begins a new chapter in India. Entering the hosiery trade with determination and a willingness to learn, he builds his knowledge, expertise, and relationships from the ground up. What begins as a journey of rebuilding becomes the foundation of a family deeply rooted in hosiery, textiles, and manufacturing - guided by quality, craftsmanship, and long-standing relationships.
That foundation grows with Sanjeev Kumar, who enters the family business while still in the 8th grade and develops a deep understanding of the industry through hands-on experience. His journey expands across hosiery, textiles, manufacturing, and nearly two decades in spinning. When an unexpected fire brings the spinning mill to an abrupt end in 2017, resilience becomes an integral part of the family's identity. The experience, knowledge, and relationships built over decades continue to provide the strength to adapt, rebuild, and move forward.
Today, the Third generation carries this legacy into a new era. Govind Kapoor - Proprietor & Third-Generation Entrepreneur, he represents the third generation of an entrepreneurial family with a longstanding presence in the hosiery, textile, and manufacturing industry. His leadership is shaped by the practical knowledge and business values developed across two generations, combined with a contemporary approach to entrepreneurship, markets, and product development.
With a Bachelor of Commerce from Christ University, Bangalore, and a US-CMA qualified from Institute of Management Accountants, Govind brings together industry experience with a strong foundation in business, finance, and management. His professional journey reflects an interest in the broader evolution of textiles and apparel. His approach to the business is centered on three fundamentals: reliability, quality, and long-term relationships. Through a new-generation perspective, the focus is on developing relevant products, strengthening domestic textile capabilities, and building a more integrated connection between fabric and finished apparel. His recent work around Made-in-India Multani fabric reflects this direction, with an emphasis on creating domestic alternatives for the Indian apparel manufacturing ecosystem.
For Govind, the legacy is not simply something to inherit. It is a platform from which to build the next generation of the business combining experience with innovation, traditional industry knowledge with modern business thinking, and a strong foundation with an ambition for sustainable growth.

For nearly two decades, he also ran a spinning mill. In 2017, an unexpected fire in the manufacturing unit brought that chapter to an abrupt end.It was a difficult setback, but it became another reminder of the lesson our family had carried through generations:

I grew up watching both my grandfather and my father and seeing firsthand what it takes to build something that lasts. Their journeys taught me that a family legacy isn't simply about carrying forward a name.It is about carrying forward the values behind that name hard work, integrity, quality, discipline, resilience, and relationships that stand the test of time.
After completing my graduation from Christ University, Bangalore and Becoming a US-CMA, I joined the family business and began learning from the foundation built by the generations before me.
Today, I am taking those lessons into a new chapter.
We are not starting from zero.
